BASEMENT: EM DOUCETTE
Hi there! I'm EM, your Basement RA. My preferred pronouns are she/her. I'm originally from Stratford, Prince Edward Island, and yes, I speak like a farmer. I'm a second year RA, and a third year Harperite.
My program is International Relations with streams of focus in History and Religion, and minors in Religious Studies and Japanese Studies.
Feel free to come chat at anytime, my room is 036. I can make coffee, tea, or hot chocolate of you ever need a pick me up.
I know everything is stressful right now, and readying yourself for university just adds to the challenge. Harper is a home away from home, take it from me, I still haven't left. The Yetis clad in black and yellow become a family, and they band together to support one another. There are so many resources across campus if you ever need a helping hand - RAs, TAs, Counsellors, Dons, AcMen, Exec, profs and classmates, just to name a few.
My best advice to give is to take advantage of your resources. Everyone here wants you to succeed. So many people are willing to give you a hand. All you have to do is ask.

I’m Kennedy and I’m going to be the RA for 2nd East! I’m from Truro, Nova Scotia (yikes I know), my preferred pronouns are she/her. I’m a second year Biology student. If you have any concerns or just need someone to chat to, and my room number is 219! I know that university is usually a new and scary transition for many people. There are a lot of resources for first years, and for all students in general at MTA! There are so many opportunities to become involved, and it truly makes the school year much more fun!

Hey Harper! My name is Beth and I am super excited to be the RA in Fourth East this year. I come from the small town of Pictou, Nova Scotia, and I am studying international relations and history here at Mount Allison. I am also involved with the cross country team, the musical, and Best Buddies, and I cannot encourage you enough to take advantage of all the cool extracurriculars at MtA. Getting involved is a great way to meet people and settle into your new home! That being said, don’t put too much pressure on yourself to adjust to campus life right away. University can be a big change, but your residence leadership team is here to help! Harper is a great residence and we want you to feel the same!
