PRESIDENT: ASTRID KRUEGER
I’m Astrid and I’m the president of Harper! My preferred pronouns are she/her and I’m from Edmonton, Berta baby !! I’m a second year international relations student with a minor in philosophy. Before coming to Mt A I took a gap year and travelled through Australia and South Africa by myself, so I have plenty of experience with uncomfortable/new situations! Plus-I had never even been to the maritimes before moving into Harper during O week...it was a leap of faith and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! Starting university can be really really stressful but our whole Harper team is here to help ease the transition and make it as fun as possible! Don’t be afraid to reach out to me with questions, if you’re looking for resources or anything at all-especially if you just want to talk! I’m also the Chargee Daffaires for MtA’s model UN summit so don’t be surprised if I try and recruit you. I’m so excited to get to know everyone in Harper this year and like I said, my room is 240 so PLEASE don’t hesitate to come chat!!

hi! I’m alexa and I’m so excited to be this years vice president of harper hall! I’m a second year econ student minoring in commerce from montreal, qc and my preferred pronouns are she/her :) as a more introverted person myself, I understand how scary it can be moving away from home and having to meet so many people but i can assure you that i, along with the rest of exec and house staff, are there for you every step of the way! if there’s one lesson that i learned last year, it’s that it’s more than ok and normal to be stressed or nervous so don’t be afraid to reach out to any of us if you need anything! we, and the rest of the harper family, are here for you:) on that note, if you ever have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to reach out to me by email (akastner@mta.ca) or through social media, i’d be more than happy to talk and answer your questions! ~don’t forget to follow @harperhallmta on insta~ i can’t wait to meet you all!! welcome to the harper fam, you’re gonna love it:)

Hey Harper, I'm Ben and I’m one of Harper’s two Social Chairs this year!! I'm from Ottawa, Ontario, and my preferred pronouns are he/him. I'm a second-year commerce student, probably going to minor in PoliSci. I’ll be living in room 462, so definitely feel free to swing by (provided COVID rules aren’t too bad ☹). I know moving out can be a daunting challenge, especially with uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. That being said, TRUST me when I say that there is no better place on campus for you to start your year than Harper. The hospitality you’ll feel and the friendships you’ll make throughout the year will take your MtA experience to a whole ‘nother level. My advice for this year’s incoming students would be to get involved in the great clubs, societies, and athletics MtA has to offer. Harper has a reputation of having some of MtA’s most involved students, and it’s always great to see us making a difference on campus. I’m personally a member of MtA’s ultimate frisbee team, which definitely delivered some of my best memories from my first year.
